SRX Closing In On Trip To Canada

During his Tuesday afternoon appearance as part of Race Industry Week, Superstar Racing Experience CEO Don Hawk hinted that a trip to the Great White North could be in the offing for the all-star racing series. Hawk stated said a trip to a Canadian dirt track could be agreed upon soon. “There’s a reason we announced the four pavement tracks, because the two dirt tracks are still in play,” Hawk began. While Hawk did not name the track, he discussed what needs to happen for the track to make it on the schedule. We need a TV partner in Canada because ESPN is not in Canada,” Hawk said. Hawk stated a deal is in place with a track (speculated to be Ohsweken Speedway in Ontario) that will see the series in Canada as the fifth race on the schedule, on Aug. 8. Hawk is one of many speakers appearing during Race Industry Week, which began on Monday and runs through Dec. 1.
