MotorMouth respects your right to privacy and shares your concern about the security of any data you may submit to MotorMouth via MotorMouth’s services, including our various websites, SMS, APIs, email notifications and applications (referred to as the “Service”, or “MotorMouth” in this document), currently accessible at www.motormouth.club The following statement (the “Privacy Policy”) discloses the guidelines MotorMouth has established for protecting the information you provide to MotorMouth during your visit to the Service. The terms Service and Member that are used in this Privacy Policy are defined in the Terms & Conditions.

What information about me does MotorMouth collect and how is it used?

MotorMouth only collects personal information about you if you choose to share it with MotorMouth. MotorMouth does not share, rent or sell information concerning MotorMouth’s members or other users of its Service to third parties in ways other than disclosed in this privacy statement.

You may provide personally identifiable information (“PII”) to us in the following ways:

  • By registering to use MotorMouth.
  • By adding profile information such as your phone number, email address, Twitter handle.
  • By sharing personal information when you post questions, comments, suggestions or recommendations via the Service.
  • By contacting us through our support service, by emailing us at one of our email addresses listed on the Service.

In addition to PII, MotorMouth may also collect non-personally identifiable information (“NPII”) from Users when they visit the Service.

What personal information does MotorMouth collect?

Depending on the portion of the Service that you interact with, PII MotorMouth collects may include your:

  • full name
  • email address
  • profile photo

NPII MotorMouth collects when you visit the Service may include:

  • your IP address
  • your approximate geographic location
  • the operating system you are using
  • the device you are using

MotorMouth does not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years old. If MotorMouth or a third party service provider requires a birth date to order a specific product or service, you will not be able to enter a birth date that indicates that you are less than 13 years old.

If you choose to share any personal information with MotorMouth, MotorMouth may store it and use it for internal research. If the information is sent as part of a website evaluation, MotorMouth may also use the information to contact you about your comments. MotorMouth may use your email address to send you newsletters with updates and news about MotorMouth. You may remove your name from our email list by emailing support@motormouth.club – MotorMouth does not share, rent or sell your information to another company in ways other than disclosed in this privacy statement.

When you visit the website element of the Service, a cookie will be stored on your computer. Generally, cookies work by assigning to your computer a unique number that has no meaning outside of MotorMouth. MotorMouth’s cookies do not contain any personally identifying information; MotorMouth uses them to provide features such as personalisation and security. MotorMouth may also use cookies to assist it in delivering content specific to your interests. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually change your browser to prevent that. Not accepting cookies may make certain features of the Service unavailable to you. MotorMouth may use your IP address to identify you, to administer the Service and to assist in diagnosing problems with MotorMouth’s servers.

Like most standard Web site servers the Service uses log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyse trends, administer the Service, track user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.

You may decide to send MotorMouth personally identifying information in an e-mail message which might contain information or inquiries about MotorMouth’s services. MotorMouth will use this information to identify you as a MotorMouth member and to respond to the electronic mail. MotorMouth will only use the information obtained to resolve the issue identified in the e-mail. MotorMouth never sells e-mail addresses. You may change or request deletion of your personal information by contacting support@motormouth.club

How does MotorMouth work with third party sources, such as YouTube?
MotorMouth uses Google’s YouTube API Services as a third party service, and when you access YouTube content and services through MotorMouth, you are agreeing to be subject to, and treated in accordance with, the Google Privacy Policy: http://www.google.com/policies/privacy.
YouTube’s Terms of Service can be read here: https://www.youtube.com/t/terms, and by using the content supplied via the API, users are agreeing to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

In addition to MotorMouth’s normal procedure for deleting stored data, you can revoke to your data via the Google security settings page at: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.

Who else has access to my personal information?

NPII about you and your use of the Service may be aggregated with other information collected on the Service or otherwise used in ways that do not personally identify you or constitute personally identifiable information. This type of aggregated or statistical information may be used by us to improve the quality of the Service or for other purposes that MotorMouth may deem appropriate.

The Service may contain links to Internet sites or third party applications or widgets operated by other companies that MotorMouth don’t own or control. These links might have been added by MotorMouth or by a User, such as in a submitted question or content related to the question including comments, suggestions and recommendations. Regardless of who added a given link, MotorMouth are not responsible for the privacy practices of websites or other services operated by third parties. Once you click on an external link you should check the applicable privacy policy of that third party to determine how they will handle any PII they collect from you.

PII, in particular your email address and name may be used by third party services for the sending of emails and alerts to you. In these instances, the information is held temporarily and once used is removed immediately from the third party service.

How secure is my personal information?

MotorMouth uses commercially reasonable administrative, technical, personnel and physical measures to safeguard PII against loss, theft and unauthorised use, disclosure or modification. The Service uses industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to allow for the encryption of personal information such as your name and address. However, MotorMouth cannot completely guarantee the security of PII. Although MotorMouth make commercially reasonable efforts to protect your PII from loss, misuse, or alteration by third parties, you should be aware that there is always some risk involved in transmitting information over the Internet.

MotorMouth doesn’t collect or retain your personal financial information (“PFI”), such as credit card data.  If in the future MotorMouth offer services that require you to provide your PFI, your PFI will be collected by, provided to and processed by a third party payment processor – not us – and their treatment of your PFI will be covered by their privacy policy.

What can I do to help make sure the security works correctly?

To help ensure that these measures are effective in preventing unauthorised access to your private information, you should be aware of the security features available to you through your browser. If you do not use a SSL-capable browser, you are at risk for having data intercepted. MotorMouth will not be responsible for any compromise of data that is intercepted due to your use of an unsecured browser.

Most browsers have the ability to notify you if you change between secure and insecure communications, receive invalid site identification information for the site you are communicating with, or send information over an unsecured connection. MotorMouth recommends that you enable these browser functions to help ensure that your communications are secure. You can also view the details of the security certificate of the site to which you are connected. MotorMouth encourages you to use this to check the validity of any site you connect to using secure communications.

Does MotorMouth offer opt-out or opt-in services?

Yes. If you choose to stop receiving emails from MotorMouth please follow the unsubscribe instructions within each email communication, update your profile, or send an email to support@motormouth.club –  MotorMouth will not provide or share any mailing lists or other information about you to another company or service for promotional purposes. Any service related emails generally do not offer an option to unsubscribe as they are necessary to provide the service you requested.

What if information I have previously submitted has changed?

you may correct, amend or delete submitted information that is inaccurate by visiting “Edit Profile” on the Service. However, if you need to correct, amend or delete submitted information that is inaccurate please contact MotorMouth at support@motormouth.club – MotorMouth will respond to your email request within 5 business days. In addition, you may correct, amend or delete submitted information that is inaccurate by visiting “Edit Profile” on the Service for examples the Website or App.

How do I delete my MotorMouth account?

If you would like to delete your MotorMouth account, please send MotorMouth an email from the email address that is associated with your MotorMouth account. Send the email to support@motormouth.club with the title: “MM Delete”. You should be aware that it may not be technologically possible to remove each and every record of the information you have provided to us from our servers. The need to back-up our systems to protect information from inadvertent loss means that a copy of your PII may exist in a non-erasable form that may be difficult or impossible for us to locate.

In addition, MotorMouth have the right to delete any account at any time if required to do so by process of law, or if necessary in order to investigate fraud or a violation of our Terms of Service.

Privacy Policy changes

If MotorMouth makes changes to any terms or conditions of this Privacy Policy, these changes will be posted on the Service in a timely manner. If MotorMouth decides to change this Privacy Policy, it will post those changes on this Privacy Policy and other places MotorMouth deems appropriate, which may include the Service, for a period of time MotorMouth deems appropriate, so that you are aware of what information MotorMouth collects, how MotorMouth uses it, and under what circumstances, if any, MotorMouth discloses it. MotorMouth reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it frequently. In case of a business transaction in which a portion or all of MotorMouth business is acquired, MotorMouth will notify you as described above in this paragraph.
