Max Verstappen unveils his new gold helmet for the 2022 campaign with the reigning world champion ditching his usual number of 33 and swapping it for ONE, which is accompanied by a star to represent his first driver’s title

Max Verstappen has provided fans a glimpse into how he will look in his first season as world champion, showing off his brand new gold-trimmed helmet he will be wearing for the 2022 campaign. During an unveiling on Twitter, Verstappen got a look at his white and gold helmet for the first time in the flesh, while pointing out little design details to fans. One of the most notable differences was that Verstappen has ditched his usual number of 33 in favour of the number one. And along with plentiful of gold and a number upgrade, Verstappen also showed off a small star with the number ’21’ on the back he requested, which represents his championship win. ‘The line fully in gold and of course also the number one on the back spoiler. ‘And of course I asked for the little star on the back with the championship win.
