Former Formula One driver Timo Glock has insisted the health condition of Michael Schumacher must be kept private. And Glock – who is a fellow countryman and was close friends with Schumacher – claimed it is right that his family keep his health status to themselves, despite the public clamour for updates on one of the greatest drivers of all time. ‘I respect their right to be private, and I don’t discuss Michael’s condition with them.’. Schumacher is one of the most successful F1 drivers of all time, having claimed the world title in 1994, 1995, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004. Mick Schumacher – who is Michael’s son – followed in his father’s footsteps by competing in F1 when he drove for Haas in 2021 and 2022, finishing 19th and 16th respectively. And Glock – who spent six seasons as an F1 driver – claimed Schumacher would have been proud of his son following in his footsteps.
