Michael Schumacher’s wife is ‘getting on with life as he would have wanted’ a decade on from his horror ski accident, according to one of the Formula One legend’s close friends. Schumacher was withdrawn from the coma early the following year but hasn’t been seen in public since with updates as to his wellbeing few and far between. His former manager Willi Weber also admitted he has ‘no hope’ of seeing Schumacher again after ‘no positive news after ten years.’. Now, Schumacher’s former F1 team-mate Johnny Herbert has said: ‘She [Corinna] has said they are trying to carry on as a family as Michael would have wanted. He is no longer the Michael we knew in Formula 1.’. Schumacher is one of the most successful F1 drivers of all time, having claimed the world title in 1994, 1995, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004.
