Formula One legend Sebastian Vettel has backed fellow German driver Mick Schumacher to make a return to racing next year. Vettel, a four-time World Champion, said there was a ‘possibility’ for Schumacher to join a team on the grid with uncertainty surrounding the futures of some of the current drivers. The young German is currently Mercedes’ third driver behind Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, but has reportedly impressed in the sim throughout the year. Vettel was the protege of Mick’s father Michael, and has always kept a watchful eye out for his fellow countryman. Vettel told Sky: ‘The situation is difficult at the moment,’. Teams that Mick could join would most likely be AlphaTauri, Alfa Romeo and Williams.
