Acosta declared unfit following FP3 crash

Red Bull KTM Ajo’s Pedro Acosta has been declared unfit for the remainder of Saturday’s action following a crash in FP3 at the Motul TT Assen. Following the crash, the Spaniard was taken to the local hospital in Assen for further checks where a thoracic trauma was diagnosed. However, Acosta could still be declared fit on Sunday morning and could start the Moto3™ Grand Prix at the TT Circuit Assen from 18th on the grid after not taking part in Q2. The Japanese rider and second fastest Binder both go down but sit 1-2; Acosta involved in four-rider crash at the final corner, riders ok. 19 hours ago. The Japanese rider was uninjured in an FP2 highside as light rain effects Moto3™ FP2 at the Motul TT Assen.
