Why is the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix on Saturday instead of Sunday?

This weekend’s Formula One race in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia will follow the same strange scheduling which was witnessed for the first time last weekend in Bahrain. The reason why Saudi Arabia’s race day was changed from Sunday to Saturday is due to Ramadan. The race weekend for the Saudi Arabia GP will run from Thursday, March 7 to Saturday March 9. Here at the Daily Mail we will also keep you up to date with all the latest from the race weekend in Saudi Arabia. From practice to qualifying to the race itself we will be covering it all live.
