America’s new Formula One star Logan Sargeant was knocked out of his first qualifying session in heartbreaking circumstances in Bahrain on Saturday. With the top 15 drivers going through to the second part of the session, Sargeant went into his final fast lap at the bottom of the standings, but managed to claw his way up into contention. Norris was the driver that he needed to beat, sitting 15th with a time of 1:31.652, and Sargeant crossed the line with 1:31.652 – exactly the same time. Frustratingly for Sargeant, Norris made his way through to the second session – solely due to the fact that he clocked his lap before the American.
