Racing has today (19 September) announced the return of Bobby Thompson to the wheel of a Cupra Leon for the conclusion of the 2023 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship. The news comes after a number of the team’s loyal partners helped Bobby and the team to reunite, as they now gear up for a competitive comeback at the remaining Silverstone and Brands Hatch GP events. Despite the financial issues faced, the team has noted Bobby’s unwavering professionalism and dedication, both during his absence and since. Team Owner, Tony Gilham expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Bobby’s commitment to Team HARD. Rounds 25, 26 and 27 of the 2023 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship will take place at Silverstone on 23/24 September, before the season concludes with the Brands Hatch GP finale on 7/8 October.
