BATHURST, Australia ā€” The 60th running of the Great Australian Race, the Bathurst 1000, takes place this weekend at the Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, New South Wales. The race began at Victoriaā€™s Phillip Island Circuit and was run there from 1960 through 1962 when it moved Bathurst where it has been run since. ā€¢ It may be an Australian race, but the Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro will be key combatants at Bathurst this weekend. ā€¢ While the majority of the Supercars Championship season sees drivers run solo, the Bathurst 1000 requires a co-driver for each car. ā€¢ The Bathurst 1000 and qualifying for the prestigious event can be seen on SPEED SPORT 1. ā€¢ Repco Supercars Championship, Qualifying, Bathurst 1000, 1:12 a.m.-2:00 a.m. ā€¢ Repco Supercars Championship, Top 10 Shootout, Bathurst 1000, 2:02 a.m.-2:55 a.m. ā€¢ Repco Supercars Championship, Bathurst 1000, Race 31, 11:15 p.m.-6:35 a.m.
