Hungary’s Krisztian Szabo will race a Hyundai i20 Supercar for the GRX SET team in selected 2020 FIA World Rallycross Championship rounds, starting at Holjes in Sweden for the first weekend of the season. 28-year-old Szabo moves from the EKS Sport team he drove for in his debut World RX season last year, and made the semi-finals in 9 of the 10 rounds to finish 10th in the Drivers’ Standings. My main focus will be to have a consistent and competitive pace from race to race and to prove myself as a driver, who can challenge the main “players” of the sport,” he said. Szabo will race in World RX R1 and R2 at Holjes in Sweden on August 22 – 23 but hasn’t confirmed which other events he will compete at.
