DANIEL RICCIARDO has showed off a brutal scar after going under the knife to repair his broken hand. Ricciardo was swiftly flown to Barcelona for his surgery and is now in the midst of the recovery process. Ricciardo kept fans in the loop after the operation, writing on Instagram: “Hey everyone. Ricciardo had initially hoped to be back for the Singapore Grand Prix but looks set to miss a few more races yet. Ricciardo had only just returned to F1 after starting this season without a seat. After Alpha Tauri axed Nyck De Vries, Ricciardo joined AlphaTauri and raced in the Hungarian and British Grand Prixs. Despite being desperate to return in order to secure a place at a team next season, it is understood that Ricciardo is taking no chances with his recovery.
