DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – IMSA President John Doonan confirmed a provisional six-race schedule for the IMSA Prototype Challenge Wednesday as part of his state of the sport address. The six-race IMSA Prototype Challenge season will feature a two-class format in 2021, with new specification LMP3 cars and updated Evo machines making up one class, and 2020 IMSA-specification LMP3 machines eligible for a second class for the 2021 season only. The LMP3 driver champion in IMSA Prototype Challenge will receive a $100,000 IMSA credit applicable toward entry fees for any 2022 WeatherTech Championship event. Aug. 20-22 – Virginia Int’l Raceway – Alton, Va.
Oct. 6-9 – Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta – Braselton, Ga.
