Eleven years ago, Carlos Munoz had an opportunity with Andretti Global to race a full season in INDY NXT by Firestone as well as competing in the 2013 Indianapolis 500. “I was at Daytona didn’t know I was going to drive an INDYCAR,” Siegel said. The chaos of getting from Daytona to Homestead ironically helped his psyche for that NTT INDYCAR SERIES test. “I drive so many different cars all the time that I don’t think that I have the luxury of having a driving style,” Siegel said. That should make his transition between a full INDY NXT by Firestone season and four NTT INDYCAR SERIES race weekends easier. The INDY NXT by Firestone race is at 10 a.m. on Peacock while the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES will air at noon ET on NBC and Peacock.
