Season In Review: Chris Buescher, No. 17

The second half of RFK Racing’s comeback story belonged to Chris Buescher, who wheeled the No. Altogether, Buescher picked up three wins — including back-to-back triumphs at Richmond (Va.) Raceway and Michigan Int’l Speedway, as well as a win during the regular season finale at Daytona Int’l Speedway. In addition, the 30-year-old also earned nine top fives, 17 top 10s and led 255 laps. It was also his career-best points showing in the Cup Series, with his previous highest finish being 16th in 2016 — his first full-time season. It’s a huge accomplishment for this season and I can’t wait until next year,” Buescher said following the Nov. 5 season finale at Phoenix (Ariz.) Raceway. Next season will mark the Texas native’s ninth full-time season in the Cup Series.
