‘revisiting’ Lewis Hamilton incident at Qatar Grand Prix despite already punishing Mercedes star with £43,000 fine

LEWIS HAMILTON’S cross-tracking breach in Qatar will be “revisited” by the FIA. The seven-time world champion was fined £43,000 for walking across the live circuit following his clash with George Russell. Hamilton crossed the circuit close to where Russell emerged at high speed moments later. Today, a FIA spokesman said: ” We are revisiting the incident in which Hamilton crossed a live track during the Qatar Grand Prix. “The FIA notes that Lewis was apologetic during the subsequent hearing into the incident and acknowledged that crossing was a serious safety breach. The FIA are mindful of an incident that also happened last weekend at the karting world championship final in Italy.
