Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko claims the team are ‘not treated the same’ as Mercedes by FIA stewards after Max Verstappen received TWO separate penalties for his battles with Lewis Hamilton in chaotic Saudi Arabian GP

Helmut Marko believes Red Bull are ‘not treated the same’ as Mercedes by FIA stewards as Max Verstappen received two separate time penalties for his battles with Lewis Hamilton at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. In the most controversial incident of the race, on lap 37 Verstappen was ordered to hand first place back to Hamilton. Speaking before Verstappen was later given a 10-second penalty for causing the collision with Hamilton, Red Bull advisor Marko said the team ‘did not accept the decisions’. Immediately after the race, Hamilton said: ‘We all know how to race. He said: ‘I’ve raced a lot of drivers through my life. Informing Verstappen that he had been voted Driver of the Day, the Red Bull team told him: ‘I think someone’s got your back here, Max, because you’ve been voted Driver of the Day.
