If you’re looking for somebody who knows what it takes to be successful in Kenya, look no further than Yoshio Fujimoto. Could you tell us a bit about yourself and your driving career in the 1990s?. Finally, I had a chance to join Toyota Team Europe for 1994 and 1995, and Toyota supported us until 1998. On the Kenya roads, it was possible to recce everything in a Group A car – so a proper rally car!. Q: How different was the Safari Rally to others in the championship back then?. A: The Safari was completely different to other rallies like Monte-Carlo, Great Britain, Sanremo and so on. Finally, I decided to have the car rebuilt myself, and now it’s going back to Japan.
