DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — NASCAR Cup Series driver Ryan Preece was discharged from Halifax Health Medical Center earlier this morning, Stewart-Haas Racing revealed in an update on Sunday. Preece was involved in an accident during Saturday night’s Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona Int’l Speedway. The 32-year-old exited his race car with help from the safety crew and was taken to the infield care center on a stretcher. “If you want to be a race car driver, you better be tough.”. Embarking on his first full-time season with SHR, Preece is currently 26th in the standings with one top-10 finish.
