Josef Newgarden rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Tuesday, Feb. 27 in New York’s Financial District, another one of the spoils of his victory last May in the 107th Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge. Newgarden earned his first Indy 500 win and Team Penske’s record-extending 19th victory in “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing” with a dramatic last-lap pass of Marcus Ericsson on May 26, 2023. “It’s a pretty tremendous honor to be here at the New York Stock Exchange with BorgWarner, representing the Penske Corporation and Team Penske,” Newgarden said. This is the second time Newgarden has opened a major stock exchange in the last nine months.
