The McLaren Formula 1 Team announced Nov. 23 that Arrow McLaren IndyCar Team driver Pato O’Ward will join its pool of F1 reserve drivers for the 2024 season. O’Ward joins the team’s pool of reserve drivers for 2024 alongside his current driver duties with Arrow McLaren in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES. He will participate in free practice 1 and the postseason test at the 2023 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix as part of his progression within the McLaren Driver Development program. “The McLaren Formula 1 Team are pleased to welcome Pato O’Ward to our pool of reserve drivers for the 2024 season,” said Andrea Stella, team principal, McLaren Formula 1 Team.
