This will be the first career INDYCAR SERIES oval start for Lundqvist, who also drove for the team Aug. 6 at the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix in Nashville and Aug. 12 at the Gallagher Grand Prix at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course. We’ve been through some challenging race formats – Nashville, a street course; Indy, a road course; and now St. Louis, an oval. He qualified 11th at Nashville and placed 12th on the IMS road course as the top rookie finisher in the race. Live coverage of the 260-lap race on the 1.25-mile oval starts at 3:30 p.m. It’s the final oval race of the season and starts a stretch of three races on consecutive weekends to finish the 2023 season and crown a series champion.
