Haas have confirmed that Nikita Mazepin will drive for the team in 2021 despite outrage over video which show him groping a woman’s breast. There had been concerns that the video could harm the reputation of the Haas brand and sponsors, with speculation Mazepin may be banned. D’Ival was quick to stress that she was a close friend of Mazepin and the video was not meant ‘seriously’ – apologising for any offence caused after posting the clip in his Instagram story. ‘I am sorry for the offence I have rightly caused and to the embarrassment I have brought to Haas F1 Team.
