A former Formula One star has revealed that Michael Schumacher’s tragic accident has left brother Ralf ‘very different’. Now former F1 driver Johnny Herbert – Schumacher’s team-mate at Benetton – described how Ralf has been affected by his brother’s ongoing condition. ‘When Ralf Schumacher was with Sky Germany we often met,’ Herbert told Grosvenor Sport. While Schumacher’s life has continued away from the limelight, there has been speculation over his condition with the world largely kept in the dark over the German great. French journalist Roger Benoit, a close friend of Schumacher’s, claimed the 54-year-old’s case is one ‘without hope’ in a tragic health update earlier in September – with Herbert claiming it was a ‘horrible’ update.
