Lewis Hamilton’s car from the year he won his first Formula One race will be auctioned by RM Sotheby’s ahead of next month’s Las Vegas Grand Prix. Leading auction house RM Sotheby’s have announced the car used by Hamilton will now be put up for auction. Sotheby’s stated that the auction would serve as a rare opportunity for someone to own the car, which launched a dynasty and helped Hamilton reach legendary status. ‘This specific Lewis Hamilton Mercedes-Benz, to our knowledge, is the only one available to the public and holds the distinction of being the first Hamilton race-winning Mercedes-Benz. The inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix will be held on the same weekend, with the race taking place a day after the auction.
