There was a sharp intake of breath at Sky Sports HQ as one of their presenters had a near miss from being hit by a car during a live broadcast. Craig Slater was speaking live from Leicester Square at the film premiere for new Hollywood film, Ferrari. Slater, who has been a key fixture for Sky on their F1 coverage, appeared not to even notice the near miss as he spoke about the premiere. The black car whizzed back behind Slater and the hosts back at Sky HQ were stunned that he failed to notice. Slater hit the headlines over in Las Vegas when he wore a sparkly jacket for his coverage in the paddock.
