Mercedes have confirmed that Frederik Vesti will replace Lewis Hamilton in the first practice for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. With that in mind, a number of youngsters are set to feature on the track in Abu Dhabi, given that it is the season finale. Vesti, 21, previously participated in FP1 in Mexico last month in place of Hamilton’s Mercedes team-mate, George Russell. Speaking to the Mercedes website, Vesti said: ‘Driving in FP1 in Abu Dhabi is another step in my career. The 21-year-old has been featuring for Prema Racing this season in Formula 2 and currently sits second in the standings following a strong year.
