Las Vegas knows how to throw a party, but this time they’re facing a problem the city is not exactly used to: not that many people are interested in coming. Even with this massive slash in cost, Las Vegas is still the most expensive grandstand seat on the circuit by about $200. Start by comparing this price to the cheapest grandstand seat in F1 – which can be found at Suzuka and runs about $118 US. Even Miami, which was widely panned for having their tickets be too expensive before its first race, is cheaper than Vegas – with their cheapest grandstand seat falling at $850. That’s not to mention that back in June, a seat for the grandstand opposite the pits started at $2,500. In June, the cheapest average three-day ticket was at Hungary was $184.
