Ferrari hit rock bottom two years ago for their worst season in 40 YEARS – but now the Prancing Horse has a spring in its step! Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc FINALLY have a competitive car – and Hamilton and Verstappen have been warned

At the end of 2020 the Prancing Horse of Ferrari had not just found itself limping, it was struggling to walk at all. ‘Ferrari’s an iconic brand and they should be racing at the very front,’ Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff conceded back in 2020. And for the most part in the last decade they haven’t come all that close to changing that against a rampant Mercedes and Red Bull. For what Ferrari did was produce a bounceback season that deserves credit, finishing best of the rest behind the jostling duo of Red Bull and Mercedes. Sainz showed exactly why he was recruited as he finished best of the rest in the drivers’ standings behind the Mercedes and Red Bull pairs while the team celebrated double-points finishes in 17 out of 22 races.
