Last month, Red Bull team principal Christian Horner was cleared of any wrongdoing following initial allegations of ‘inappropriate behaviour’. Horner appears at Red Bull’s car launch – his first appearance in public since news of the allegations emerged. ‘[But] I think Red Bull has reacted very well in this matter. Horner takes his position on the Red Bull pit wall for the opening day of the test. Horner appears in a press conference alongside four other F1 team principals. Red Bull’s triple world champion Max Verstappen says ‘it will be nice for everyone’ when the investigation into Horner is concluded. Verstappen duly wins the Bahrain Grand Prix with his Red Bull team-mate Sergio Perez second. Verstappen denies the claims, saying: ‘That wouldn’t make sense. ‘That’s why it should not be in the teams’ (Red Bull’s) hands. They [Red Bull Racing] are so busy chasing mainstream media they forgot our magazine is coming out. Verstappen is signed up to Red Bull until 2028, earning at least £50million per annum.
