Electric vehicles smash sales records in the US

Electric vehicles are smashing records in the US, with EVs share of new car sales passing seven percent for the first half of 2023. It took 10 years for the US to sell its first million battery electric vehicles, two years to sell its second, one more to sell its third and by the time the third quarter sales figures are added for 2023, under a year for the fourth million EVs sold, according to Bloomberg Green analysis. If you include those, then cars capable of running fully-electric at least some of the time have already hit a million sales inside a year in the states – just nine months, in fact.
