CHARLES LECLERC has signed a contract extension with Ferrari worth around £28million a season. Leclerc joined Ferrari in 2016 and came through the Italian team’s academy before making his debut for F1’s most famous brand in 2019. The Monaco-born racer has taken 30 podiums for Ferrari in 103 races, winning five times. He said: “I’m very pleased to know that I will be wearing the Scuderia Ferrari race suit for several more seasons to come. Ferrari, who will launch their 2024 F1 car on February 13th, will now turn their attention to signing Leclerc’s team-mate, Carlos Sainz, to a new deal until 2026.
