Updated calendar, faster racing and knockout qualifying for Season 8

The sporting regulations for Season 8 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship were ratified today, October 15, by the FIA at its World Motor Sport Council (WMSC). As ratified at July’s WMSC, Formula E’s all-electric Gen2 cars will be able to use 220kW of power in Season 8, an increase from 200kW in Season 7, during races. Power during ATTACK MODE will also increase to 250kW from 235kW in Season 7. “Combined, the revised calendar and new regulations will mean that Season 8 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship is expected to be the best yet for our teams, drivers and fans.”.
