Sergio Perez Perez is out of the British Grand Prix after becoming the first Formula One driver to test positive for coronavirus. Sunday’s race will go ahead behind closed doors and Perez’s Racing Point team will still compete in the Silverstone showpiece. Racing Point confirmed Sergio Perez had tested positive after his first test was inconclusive. In a statement, the FIA and Formula One confirmed: ‘The results of the retest is positive. Sportsmail understands Perez, 30, took his first test before entering the paddock. Racing Point will still compete in this weekend’s British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Racing Point said Perez was comfortable and in good spirits. Lewis Hamilton, meanwhile, has vowed to race on in Formula One for at least three more years, taking the six-times world champion’s career towards the end of his thirties. Six-time world champion Lewis Hamilton has vowed to race on for at least three more years.
