Championship leader Sébastien Ogier has met his demise on the penultimate stage of a testing Rally Turkey. Having recovered from a puncture on Sunday’s first run over the 38.15km Çetibeli stage, there were more concerns for the Toyota Gazoo Racing driver on the second loop, when the engine warning light began flashing on the dashboard. Ogier and co-driver Julien Ingrassia initially tried to nurse their Yaris through the remainder of the stage, but when smoke began to billow out from under the bonnet, they were forced to stop immediately, bringing an early end to their weekend.
