McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo has had a miserable start to the 2022 F1 season, and legendary commentator Martin Brundle is of the opinion the affable Aussie is up against it to be on the team in 2023, despite being under contract. Ricciardo signed a three-year deal with the team in May 2020, reportedly on $32million per year. ‘They can’t take this into 2023,’ Brundle said of Ricciardo’s form and the apparent team disunity. The only way Ricciardo can save his spot next year, according to Brundle, is a dramatic turnaround on the track. That will certainly be tough for Ricciardo, who can’t blame all of his troubles on the car.
