Lewis Hamilton finishes the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix practice sessions as the fastest driver ahead of Mercedes team-mate Valtteri Bottas

Lewis Hamilton was fastest in practice for the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix at Silverstone on Friday as Mercedes looked set to dominate yet again. Hamilton beat team-mate Valtteri Bottas by 0.176 seconds in the second session and was 0.815 seconds faster than the best of the non-Mercedes cars, Daniel Ricciardo in third for Renault. Lewis Hamilton finished fastest in the second practice for the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix. Hamilton’s Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas finished second fastest at the Silverstone race. Bottas set the fastest time in the first practice session, beating Hamilton’s best time by 0.138 seconds. Red Bull driver Max Verstappen finished in fourth spot during the second practice race.
