Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes dominate again in Hungarian Grand Prix Friday practice, with Red Bull and Ferrari over a SECOND off the pace… but second session is a wash out

Mercedes continued their domination at the start of the season after Lewis HamiltonĀ and Valtteri Bottas led a comfortable one-two at the Hungaroring following Friday practice. Lewis Hamilton blitzed the time sheets by going quickest in first Hungarian Grand Prix practice. Sebastian Vettel was sixth behind Renault’s Daniel Ricciardo just ahead of Ferrari team-mate Charles Leclerc. Sparks fly from the back of Max Verstappen’s Red Bull who was over a second down in eighth. Red Bull appeared to be running a high fuel load during the session, causing a negative impact on their lap times, and it saw Max Verstappen finish the morning down in eighth. Hamilton made an exploratory tour in the afternoon but did not set a lap time in his Mercedes.
