Elfyn Evans will put a mixed start to the season behind him and focus on delivering a strong performance at next month’s Croatia Rally (22 – 25 April). “I wasn’t too happy with either of those first two rounds of the season to be honest,” said Evans. Evans finished the season opener in Monte-Carlo second only to eight-time winner Sébastien Ogier, but his comparative lack of speed in some sections compared to his fellow Yaris driver frustrated him. Elfyn Evans believes he lost his chance of back-to-back WRC winter wins during the second pass of last weekend’s special stages … It was a similar story on the second run of snow and ice stages in the Arctic Circle, where Evans felt he shipped too much time.
