It might have been a tricky outing for our boys, but they played their part in a thrilling run of quickfire races. In the Relay Race, an unfortunate technical problem prevented Daniele from taking part in the final stint of the seven-lap encounter, despite Lucas’ strong opening stint and joker lap that was followed up by a rapid second stint from Shanaka. We locked out the top three positions in the final three-versus-three Sprint race, but a series of collisions affected our boys’ chances. Daniele was then caught up in an incident at the second chicane before Lucas was taken out from behind as Shanaka carved his way through the fraught race to take a P3 finish.
