Allard J2R with outrageous Cadillac pushrod V8!

This is a Cadillac V8-engined #Allard J2R – similar to the open cycle-wing bodywork version campaigned at #LeMans in 1950 where one acheived a third overall and a first in class – one of two to enter Le Mans in 1953. After its duty as a works car it was sold to US Air Force General Curtis E. LeMay, to which the graphics on the side of the car refer.
