Millener targets full 2021 programme for Suninen

M-Sport Ford team principal Richard Millener is working to find a way to ensure Teemu Suninen tackles every round of this year’s FIA World Rally Championship. The Finn will drive a Fiesta World Rally Car on selected WRC rounds – sharing the factory car with Adrien Fourmaux – with the hope that there is sufficient funding to tackle the rest of the rallies in a Fiesta Rally2 MkII. With Frenchman Fourmaux making his WRC debut aboard a World Rally Car at the Croatia Rally (22 – 25 April) next week, Suninen will return to the WRC’s second tier at the asphalt fixture for the first time since the 2018 Rallye Monte-Carlo. “The aim is to have Teemu at every event this year,” said Millener. M-Sport Ford has reported positive progress with its all-new hybrid-era car after the British firm began initial testing. M-Sport Ford will run a different bonnet on the Fiesta Rally2 in Zagreb next week.
